This edition follows Constance Garnett’s landmark English translation, first published in 1912 and, for the better part of a century, the version through which most English-language readers first met Dostoyevsky. It presents the complete text of The Brothers Karamazov, first serialized in Russia in 1879 and 1880: twelve Books, grouped into four Parts, followed by a closing Epilogue.
